Gingerbread is a great system.  The awards are given as stated in the paperwork and the director, even with her daughters death last year did a great job.  Yes it is pricey, but not any more so than other systems.  You do get what you pay for. I am a title holder, but did not win my first 2 years competeing.   Many contestants return after their reign is over and have a great time.
